FAQ
What are the options of the House Master in case the phone is not going through?
Calling in general is a 2 Leg procedure there are 2 parties involved in the single call, Cadets as well as the parents. Thus it is possible that due to reasons beyond control of SPACS the call may not mature.
These can be easily diagnose with the following method :-
- Check that if only one cadet is facing a problem or all, in case one cadet is facing a problem it could be that the parents side is under reduced signal area such as basement parking, hilly area etc.
- Check if the issue persists after an hour or so, Listen to the error message on the call. The house master can report all such incidents on the helpline WhatsApp group where our dedicated team will answer in less than 15 minutes.
- If the Phones are completely silent, in such cases please verify that all phones are silent or only one phone is silent, this will help in further on – site service.
- For any other help please do not hesitate in dropping a message on the quick service whatsapp group any time of the day.
In an emergency situation, can SPACS be used at night time ?
Answer : Yes, but only on designated numbers as provided by the School.
Further, iteration in this process is under progress and will be completed in due course of time
Can a student call anytime ?
No, a student is allowed to call only during the allotted time outside which the system will deny all calls, and revert “invalid calling time error”.
What is the limit of calling time?
Sainik School Cadets are allowed a maximum of 80-Minutes per month, provided a weekly in 20-Min bracket Or as per the discussion with the managment.
What is the operating procedure for SPACS ?
The entire procedure for SPACS is very simple, it is designed keeping in mind the age profile of a class 3rd student. The procedure is divided into 3 small steps.
- Step 1 : Students pick up one of many phones in the dormitory. The System greets the student with the following message “Welcome to SPACS Please dial your Code”
- Step 2 : The Student is required to enter the Unique Roll Number (Admission number) The System then requests for the password input, thus the cadets has to enter a 4 digit unique password provided to Students individually.
- Step 3 : The student is then given a choice to select call Mom or Dad (Press 1 for Mother, 2 for Father & 3 for Guardian ). The Student must select a number to call.
- Step 4: There is no step 4 !
There is no network tower near the school, will SPACS still work
Yes, Absolutely! It’s our commitment! We make sure all of your student get to call parent easily
Our School Students are in class 3 can they use the service
SPACS is designed keeping in mind the simplicity, user friendly system, thus student of any age can use the system.
Is there Incoming call facility on the phones
No, SPACS does not have any incoming call facility. It is not possible to develop one because once the call arrives in the hostel, it is not sure who picks the call and then that student will have to search for the intended student all over the place creating a havoc and it wont be an streamline process.
